Comparing Beer, Hot Dog, and Ticket Prices at Major League Baseball Parks

Batter up! The 2016 Major League baseball season begins on April 3 with a Sunday afternoon game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates. If you're curious about how much fans paid to attend or buy popular baseball foods and drinks at their (and a number of other teams') games last year, look no further than our "Comparing Hot Dog and Beer Prices at Baseball Parks" infographic below. This helpful illustration is chock full of fun facts about beer and hot dog prices at different ballparks, how much fans spent to attend games, and a variety of other statistics on attendance in 2014 and 2015.

Ever wonder how much it costs to buy a beer at Fenway Park or a hot dog at Camden Yards? Well, wonder no more. We crunched the numbers for all thirty major league ballparks and compiled this illustrated guide for baseball lovers across the country.

Which ballparks charge the least (and the most) for a beer?

    Cheap – Expensive

    • Arizona Diamondbacks (Chase Field): $4
    • Cleveland Indians (Progressive Field): $4

I've been to more than a handful of ballparks

the Indians prices really are pretty good all around

    tickets-food-beer--beer--did I mention beer
the shitty bars around the park

too bad the tribe is a shit show--if they were good it would be fantastic value for a game

The Mets need that hotdog money to pay Cespedes, he doesn't drop routine fly balls for free.

A Sam Adams at Fenway Park was $12.50 last year. I don't know where they got these numbers.

In Baltimore part time season ticket holder, Love to see where they get those $1.50 hot dogs. Must be in the upper deck sections somewhere. Everything around me in so overpriced.

I stick with the chicken fingers fries combo thats $11.50 and a couple of $8.00 dollar beers which are awful deals.

AA is even better. Thats usually where their top prospects are. You are right the parks are usually excellent and everything is very reasonable. My kids dont know the difference between the AA and the Indians games.

Agreed. Even AA or whatever the fuck the Long Island Ducks are. They even have a fireworks night a few times a year with good fireworks. Only problem is the play on the field leaves a lot to be desired, but as you said, the kids won't notice.

They mention the expensive hotdogs in Tampa and not that they also charge $9 for a beer.

Yeah minor leagues are great for the kids, Most I've been to seem to cater to the kids with tons of stuff between innings and play grounds or other stuff all geared towards little kids. Maybe the best deals in all of sports if you have a family with kids and want to see a game.

Did you see one of the last spring training games where the ball was hit over Cespedes head and it came to rest between the wall
and the track and he raised his hands as if the ball was stuck. Umpire runs out. Picks up the ball with ease.

Dude ended up with an inside the park home run. :giggle:

Wow, Miami draws like 10 fans a night and once you get there they rape you on food costs.

I always tailgate before going to baseball games. I am amazed at the price of beer at the ball game and the prices people will pay.

$4.50 for a beer at Anaheim. Woulda thought itd be a lot more considering their payroll
and the amount of money Disney charges for everything across the street.

    :jj:

Missed that one, though I did see his opening day fuckup on Monday:

    http://m.mlb.com/news/article/170371638/yoenis-cespedes-commits-error-on-opening-night
(just to add some extra punishment, a female announcer rips on him)

What gets me is how casual he is about blowing a play, it's like he's on Xanax out there.

Norfolk Tides (AAA) box seats are $13. I think a hot dog is $4 and a beer is $8.00 but that's a tall boy from a vendor who works the stands.

I dont know whats worse with that video: His super casual approach at making that play, all the gold chains he is wearing,
or the broad they have on espn Jessica Mendoza, a softball player saying "Im an outfielder. Plays like this drive me crazy."
