A team from upstate New York is the best Little League baseball team in the country. Its an amazing feat. First team from New York to be United States champs since the 1960's.

It was a strange Little League World Series. A team from near San Diego with lots of Mexican-American kids surprisingly lost early on and a team from Texas also got beat early on. Japan who never loses also got beat early on. Endwell was clearly the best US team and they play South Korea tomorrow for the World Championship.

The team from Chula Vista wasn't that good to begin with actually. They had a large squad, and that meant that they had to get all the kids into the game. They weren't strong hitters, and they had one super stud pitcher.

Mancini kicked butt. I saw celebrities, athletes and everyone tweeting Go Maine-Endwell last few days. I didn't realize the CEO of Legendary Entertainment ThomadTull was from there. Hope they beat the Koreans.

Hope my nephew's team is there in 2 yrs.

When my sons were finally finishing up with it, it was getting re-god-damned-diculous. All the faggot coaches kids were going for private hitting lessons, pitching classes...LOPz

    there's too much of it
lots a kids play it that have no business doing so
leagues just don't seem to want to tell parents their kids are just gonna have great
memories they ain't going to the Yankees and they ain't getting a free college ride

but the kids love it when they're younger
sure if they're terrible they will get hammered
but they love the hotels and the hanging out swimming and shit
and the parents get loaded and have a blast
so it's sorta fun (yes I've lived through this)

Yep, I watched my parents haul my nephew all over the region for weekend tournaments during the years he should have been focusing on high school ball and studies. My nephew was a good player (he was a Ripken 13yo all-star who made it to the Great Lakes regional). After Ripken, he only played travel tournaments and did not focus on school because he was certain his baseball would carry him. His high school coaches tried to get him on track, but Nana and Pappaw only listened to my nephew's travel coach. Now he's 23 and clueless, still hitting up anyone who will put with his sense of entitlement for gas and rent money. Any time I'm around him, the Springsteen song "Glory Days" plays non-stop in my head.

I was and am so proud that Todd Frazer went from Little League greatness all the way to MLB. It is no small feat.

The fact that people even care Little League Baseball World Series is a complete joke. We don't care about any other kid baseball tournament let alone basketball, football etc. These kids aren't even playing on a full size field! It's a bogus made for TV event that means nothing.

In 2001, New York City (Baby Bombers) had a great Little League team until someone realized their star pitcher Danny Almonte was actually 14! Also in 2014, a Little League Team from Chicago was stripped of it's U.S. title because of recruiting violations.

LLWS is a total farce that teaches you nothing about sports or sportsmanship. It's primarily an ego trip for parents who were underachievers in sports themselves. I'd love to see where all that ESPN money goes.
