This was no walk in the park this time. Mendes took him down several times and mauled him but McGregor slipped out of a guillotine attempt with little time left on the clock in the third round and tagged Mendes with a one two that dropped him and he turtled up and ate a couple more shots before the ref jumped in. I guess this guy is the real deal.

    The Lawler/MacDonald fight was better.

McGreggor vs Aldo will be huge in the fall.

Thus was a great Ppv... No doubt the Irishman is legit. Mendes is a monster at 45 and he handled him. I see aldo chopping his legs down but it should be good. Sorry I missed this Ppv. But thurman looked great...

Yeah, that fight was great. Back and forth. I think he literally broke MacDonald's face. I am happy for Lawler. He has been in the game forever. MacDonald is creepy as fuck. He looks like he murders craiglist hookers in his spare time.

Fixed fight. UFC has too much money invested in McGregor for him to lose. He got his ass handed to him for two rounds and that was a super quick stoppage, especially from Herb Dean. Mendes was on top of McGregor the whole second round and all Rogan was talking about was how good McGregor was.

That said, I like that little fucker

    Huh?

I saw a guy with a 2 week training camp who was outweighed by 25lbs+ with a major reach and height disadvantage land several power shots standing and take down Connor at will. If they were both the same size, McGregor would have been finished.

If anything, this fight only hurt Connors stock. He looked quite beatable and his wrestling defense and grappling were shown to be sub par.

This guy better hope he can keep cutting weight to make 145lbs, because the top guys at 155 would absolutely eat him alive.

The guy has heart and certainly has some skills, but he has benefited from favorable matchmaking.

If he fights Aldo, he's done for. Chad is 1/5th the striker Aldo is, and look what he managed to do to a much larger McGregor.

Mendes has like 11 days to have a camp. Not counting media obligations taking up a lot of time

I thought Mendes was going to be a bad matchup for McGregor. McGregor fights very upright and I thought takedowns were going to be a problem and they were. It was a short training camp for Mendes but then on the other hand McGregor was training for a different opponent until the last minute so you have to consider that too.

frankie would be a matchup and one i'd like to see

frankie has better boxing movement, footwork, head movement to give conor some different looks and of course the ability to put him on his back

And mother fucking Matt Brown won as well.
This fight was going to be ugly and dirty because that's what happens when
A fighter steps in last minute. It really shows who'd win in a fight because neither guy could legitimately prepare for each other. Best UFC card in a long time.
I wouldn't expect Conner/Aldo fight in the fall. Mcgregor has a nasty cut and will be medically suspended for a few months probably. Look out for a New Years Eve fight.
