    you've actually met?

    I gotta go with Ruiz.

He seemed to know he was on the clock with his 15 minutes and he made the most of it.

George Plimpton...we were both drunk, and he was waiting to go on a local TV show here...he was really friendly, down to earth and willing to talk about any of his past exploits.

    Lynn Swann?

I met him in a camera store at the mall when i was a kid living in Pittsburgh. He was still playing for the Stillers at the time.

I've never talked to a famous person. I've seen a few in public, but left them alone.

My biggest living idols are Paul Reubens, Lou Reed, David Lynch, and David Bowie. I would never care to meet them.

Oh, and Fran Tarkenton was really cool, too.

He was at a local hot dog joint doing promotions for them, the joint was named Zabbs, and we went to see him at lunch one day from work.

There was NOBODY in the restaurant except for him and his two assistants, but he was totally down to earth and even sat with us for part of our lunch...he was nowhere near the dope he acted like on "That's Incredible". He seemed genuinely pleased that people still gave a shit about him, and I think this was in 1984

Brian Dennehey. He was sitting at a bar by himself and one of the guys from our group went over to say hello. He ended up coming over to our table and talking to us for a while. Really nice guy.

I also met Ben Stein at the Tampa airport. He was really nice. His personality and dress were exactly like they are on TV.

I have met a bunch of other athletes, but unless they are from out of town I just leave them alone... let them live their life in peace etc. I will give them a head nod, but that is about it.
