Crude is down to nearly $48 per barrel for WTI. The lowest it got recently was ~$43 in February. I remember paying $1.80 per gallon locally in February, and today it's $2.57 per gallon. Diesel fuel, which costs more to refine and is subject to higher taxes, is selling for $2.51 per gallon locally. In just a week or so, we could see oil drop to $40 flat per gallon (according to the pundits). Why am my gas so damn high?
