From 2002, Disintegration, live, in its entirety.
My favorite Cure album.
Great old band
I knew I'd kept that ticket stub somewhere....
Back when @Avalon was presenting concerts.
Thanks for the inclusion of the penny for scale. I've always wondered how big those old time paper tickets were.
A 12 song encore?
And all for $19.50!
Love the cure.
I had six sister and zero brothers, so my "bedroom" was the attic.
I saw the Cure Kiss Me tour at the Forum in L.A., and it had to be one of the worst concert sounds I've ever experienced, it was so loud that the sound was just shrill.
I then caught them at the Rose Bowl for the Wish Tour, and the sound was much better. As far as I'm concerned, that's the last great lineup of the band. I just can't take the laid back style of that drummer that took over after Boris left.
I think the Orange concert is still the best recorded concert they've ever done.
Good article on the production/engineering behind "A Forest," if you are in to that type of thing. Basically talks about producer Mike Hedges and the circumstances surrounding the Seventeen Seconds album/A Forest single; that great mix of spare instrumentation and reverb/chorus that was used during that period,
My 1st Cure concert.
