I just got this from someone related to the show asking me who I think this is..
Former “Stern Show” regular lost job due to management changes
    Posted on January 7, 2016 by gogopo1
An inside source is pulling back the curtain on “The Howard Stern Show”, citing management changes as the reason for them losing their long-time position on the show. The source, which will go unnamed, held an on-air spot for nearly ten years before being blatantly ignored by new management in 2012.

“I was on the show for a long time,” the source says. “I singlehandedly orchestrated one of the greatest segments in the show’s history, completely improvised.” The source went on to say their position was replaced without notice after Stern’s management changed in 2012. While their position started with completely improvised material, the source says that changed suddenly. “They didn’t like improvisation anymore. I never had a script; everything was off the top of my head, and it was great. The staff loved it, and the audience loved it. But that’s just not what they wanted anymore. Writers would try to feed me lines. Lines that I didn’t like or think were funny. They suddenly wanted to control what was said. When I questioned it, I guess that was the last straw.”

Things got worse when their position was replaced by an acquaintance. “I never got a call. Gary never said anything. Next thing I know, they’re doing my bits with another person playing my role. Someone that I know.” The source also said their replacement now gets treatment they never got, including accommodations to pre-record segments. “They’ve gotten to where they fly them out, put them up in a hotel, and pre-record everything. Nothing is live anymore. I can’t work like that anyway, so I guess it’s for the best. They now only want someone who will read their script, instead of someone who can improvise quickly. That’s okay with me.”

Nearly 10 years (approx 2002-2012), orchestrated one of the greatest bits off the top of their head, replacement pre-records bits....I don't have the slightest idea who that describes. Dan? Doesn't really add up.

Sounds like Mike Gange, except with a inflated self importance.

When you act like an asshole, and people treat you like one, don't be surprised.

No he was fired before then I believe and it was clear why he was fired and him and Howard talked on air about it.

The 'on air' part confuses me... no one is gone that was an on air contributor. Since Artie left it's Fred, Robin, and Howard.

I don't think Gary Garver is that delusional to think that he was some kind of creative force on the show. Also, it sounds like the person was in the studio a lot and Garver was almost never in studio.

Quick search of Marks Friggin doesn't show him doing anything on the show after 2008, so the times don't match up either.

Maybe Craig Gass? Don't know how long he was on the show but he did a lot of good impersonations (Arnold, Gene Simmons).

    Dan the Song Parody Man.

clearly not Garver, and he and Howard had it out over the air over letting him go.

Wonder who it is....maybe Wood Yee? this is tough

Could also be the comedian who played Geoff the punk skeleton on Craig Ferguson's show. He did the Arnold bit with George Takei. I remember him being in the studio one day. I think it was around the time Benjy got the fake hair and eyeliner. You could see him on Howard TV in the back, with a baseball cap on, and writing stuff, but I don't remember him going on the mic.

Does anyone remember a fake Arnold around 2012?
