CCTV Dallas Porch Pirate Leaves 'Merry Christmas' Note

    Dallas, TX - The Northwest Patrol Division Property Crimes Division is seeking help regarding a package theft. The offense occurred December 4, 2015, between 12:10 and 12:15 pm in the 3900 block of Fairley Lane.

    Surveillance video of the offense was recording by the victim’s home security camera. In the video, a Black female in her early 30’s is shown walking up to the front porch. The female is captured in the video placing paper in the victim’s mail slot which read 'Merry Christmas' as she picks up a package that was left by Fed Ex. The suspect places the package in her purse and flees the location.

    If anyone has any information regarding the identity of this suspect or this offense, please call the Northwest Property Crimes Detective G. Waller at 214-670-6053.

    When I expect package coming from UPS, FedEx etc I always leave a note on the door requesting that they bring it back and leave the ticket so I can pick it up at the customer center if I'm not home.

    I dont exactly live in the greatest neighborhood and have Amazon deliveries ALL THE TIME and have never had anything walk away. Pretty lucky I guess :dontknow:

    I heard that either fedEx or UPS has designated places (like a nearby Chevron station) where they'll leave yer packages instead of leaving 'em at the door.
