Apparently this woman in the white Volvo crossed over the highway into oncoming traffic. You would think the driver in the Jeep Wrangler bought it but it was the woman who caused the accident in first place. She was wearing a seatbelt but it made no difference. The truck driver with dashcam got really lucky to avoid the accident. Don't know if I would have reacted that quickly. This shocking dashcam footage shows the moment a car careered across a highway in Delaware before colliding with four other vehicles, killing the driver. Sarah Baird, 62, lost control of her 2001 Volvo S60 and spun across into the opposite lane of the Del 1, smashing into oncoming traffic. Ms Baird, who was wearing her seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, while her 63-year-old male passenger survived and is recovering in hospital. A woman driving a Chevrolet and towing a horse trailer tried to avoid both collisions but smashed into Baird's spinning Volvo. Brandon Cooper, who was driving the Jeep, climbed out of the wreck moments before it caught fire. He and Kelli Amaya, the driver of the SUV, were taken to hospital. The other drivers and the horse were not injured. Mr Noval said he was lucky to avoid colliding with any of the other cars during the horror crash, 'I was just trying to avoid whatever I could so that I didn't make it any worse than it already was,' he said. 'If I would've hit the trailer and the truck, there would've been more causalities,' he added. The road was closed for more than three-and-a-half hours. Delaware State Police is investigating.
