Dave Grohl’s Doctor Joined the Foo Fighters On Stage for a White Stripes Cover
    12:10 PM ET

Orthopedic surgeon Lew C. Schon has been helping Grohl after a leg injury

During the Foo Fighters’ show at Boston’s Fenway Park Sunday night, Dave Grohl’s doctor joined the band onstage to lead a cover of the White Stripes’ classic “Seven Nation Army.”

Dr. Lew C. Schon has been caring for Grohl ever since he broke his leg onstage last month in Sweden. In the above clip, you’ll see Grohl accompanying his doctor from the safety of his light-up guitar throne (which he apparently dreamed up while on morphine in the hospital.)

“Holy s–t, that’s actually my doctor,” Grohl said after Schon left the stage. “What a badass.”

unpopular opinion: The Foo Fighters are boring as hell and Dave Grohl is too positive and happy for my liking

I almost saw them at a big fest in Toronto that my friend had some free tickets for but we left before they went on to beat the crowds. Then the next night Oasis headlined and one of the brothers got attacked on stage by a crazy guy and I missed that too.

As usual, Dave Grohl delivers on being a total weirdo. :p

I agree that Foo Fighters only have a handful of songs out a bzillion that I like, but...Dave Grohl's weirdo spaz personality will always highly amuse me. He's a genuine freak, and I can appreciate that.

Oh my god, this MOTHER FUCKING GUY! He broke his fucking leg-barely, he wasn't made a double amputee fighting the fucking Taliban! What exactly is with this self-important prick? I haven't seen a guy celebrate a minor injury this long since "Ace" Cowboy Bob Orton broke his arm back in the 80's. Seriously, What the Fuck Dave? I didn't realize you stepped on a land mine-you douche. Fuck me.

I'm getting pretty burned out hearing about Dave Grohl every day.

Layne Staley did the same thing in 1992.

Dave Grohl is trying his best to usurp Bono as the most pretentious douchebag on the planet. Hey everybody, look at me hanging with my pals Lemmy and Paul McCartney! Listen to my lecture on what's wrong with the music industry! Look at me play with a broken leg!
