    Comments: It was an ok week. I'm actually trying to bulk up a bit now, but I definitely went overboard with the eating. My plan is to eat plenty this month to put on some muscle, then start cutting in March :)

    Goal: Drop weight to 158,8 lbs and increase lifts by 20%

    GP2 unless u are on roids you can only put on 5 lbs of muscle a year. That 5 lbs is dependent on if you eat clean, train heavy and rest/recuperate between workouts. Size is an illusion. A thin waist coupled with wide shoulders and massive quads are more impressive than say a big chest/arms. Ur a young dude. Train heavy and eat clean for a year. Put down the scale and measuring tape and let ur clothes be ur guide. 2K cals a day 50% protein 35 carb/15 fats. 4 meals a day

    I'm confused, you want to bulk up but yet you want to drop to 158. Muscle weighs more than fat so if you bulk up and try to turn that bulk into muscle your weight won't drop to 158.....is that right?

    For sure, and that's my plan for the year, but with Summer in mind, I just want to get to a low bodyfat%. 5 lbs doesn't sound like much, but it's actually a very noticeable gain :)
    Just a last ditch bulk effort for a few weeks before I begin my cut. I'll have around 8 weeks on me, so I'll be fine :)

    Ive got 10-11% body fat
    oh and minutes ago i finished a 5K (thats why i came to this forum).

    youre doing it wrong, and that wont help. Eat low fat (<10% of your caloric intake), and plenty of protein. lift weights to where 10-12 maxes you out, and do cardio, but dont over do the cardio. (Ever see a marathon runners body? Its not pretty, and certainly not what youre shooting for.)

    bingeing and then caloric restriction will only 'yoyo' you back to your original weight.

    youre not looking to lose weight, youre looking to lose fat.

    Still cutting down! down to 183 today! :cheer: im doing an 1.5 hr workout 5-6 days a week, running 4 miles a day, and eating a really lean paleo diet w/ intermittent fasting.. when my body fat gets down to single digits i am going to start bulking up n eating like a beast. cant fucking wait I crave a steak so bad.

    The best thing about a diet is the cheat day. I had 4 slices of pizza last sunday and I was moaning like I was eating Kate Upton's pussy.
