Philip Rivers MAY be my favorite quarterback in the NFL right now. So underrated, great guy, family man, and very humble as well as self deprecating. The anti-Tom Brady.

whether he's a pickle smoocher or not. his skillset is unique. he is accurate like montana, can throw the long ball like elway, run like young. but what separates him is his accuracy on the run. i haven't seen anyone come close ever.

It is insane how quickly Aaron Rodgers erased the memory of Brett Favre when he came along. It was like "How do you follow Brett Favre??" And Rodgers just steamrolled right over his legacy with CLASS!

Same feeling I got when Steve Young replaced Joe Montana. I enjoyed Steve Young much more with his scrambling ability.

one can't compare different eras because now the rules favor the offensive player, receiver qb and lineman. but rogers skill set hasn't been seen ever at that position

I'll give that!! You can't do shit to a QB anymore as a DL or LB. The NFL has a high premium on facilitating offense and the passing stats. It's soooo warped now that I don't even know what a great passing yards (4000 yards is nothing now) or TD pass total is anymore???

It also may be to the crazy Fantasy NFL participants that they want sexier numbers.

Aren't the Packers the only sports franchise where the STATE or city OWNS the team???

that's why johnny u passing for a td in 47 straight games in the 50's is so impressive. drew brees finally eclipsed that in the 2000's

It really is unfathomable of that era to do that.

all those passing yards are inflated with the new rules. they are afraid of nailing wide receivers and getting penalties

Every resident of the state owns a little piece of them. I think they all get a document stating as much (mainly for bragging purposes).
