It was reality Tuesday on TV last night where everything original was unscripted. Back on Tuesdays after debuting on a Monday last season, America’s Got Talent (3.1/9) returned at 9 PM for an eighth season on NBC. Featuring auditions from all over the country, the two-hour show had levitation, a 10-year old with the voice of a blues veteran, snake handling, a booty dance and new judges Mel B and Heidi Klum debuting with Howard Stern and Howie Mandel. However, with all that and with The Voice as its lead-in for the first time, AGT was still down 16% among Adults 18-49 from last year’s Season 7 premiere on May 14, 2012. While AGT was the most watched and highest rated show of the night, Tuesday’s Season 8 debut was an all time premiere low for the show. Last night’s result was a tenth behind the previous low of the 3.2 that the show’s Season 4 debut garnered on June 23, 2009. Tuesday’s AGT did see a small rise in total viewership from last season’s debut, up 6% with 11.102 million watching. Back to an hour, The Voice (3.0/11) saw Team Blake lose a member as the contestants were trimmed down to five heading into the semi-finals. The 8 PM show slipped 6% from its live original at 9 PM last week to hit a Tuesday results show low. With 10.926 million watching, NBC topped the night in total viewers and among Adults 18-49. Over on Fox, So You Think You Can Dance (1.6/5) was in Memphis for more auditions with Wayne Brady joining Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy as a guest judge. The two-hour fourth show of SYTCD’s 10th season stumbled 16% from its May 28 show. It was the second week of the third season of Extreme Weight Loss (1.0/3) last night. The ABC show was down 17% from its May 28 debut. Brooklyn D.A. (0.8/2) was the only original on CBS on Tuesday. Facing the second hour of AGT, the second episode of the six-part docu-series was down a hard 20% from its soft debut ratings of last week. http://www.deadline.com/2013/06/tv-...nk-you-can-dance-down-voice-falls-to-new-low/ comment section open!
