I LOVED IT!! Kyle Chandler and Ben Mendelsohn gave masterclass acting demonstrations.
I just started the first show last night, but turned it off because it got late.
We have been discussing adding it to our already bloated list of shows.
We just finished the 3rd. season of Mr. Selfridge, great show!
Bailed after episodes 7 or 8.
Couldn't see it going anywhere & it was becoming more & more soap opera-ish.
Great cast, though.
This looks good, Selfridge as in dept store? Is it soap opera-ish?
On Ep5 of Bloodline.....I sleep a little when it's on TBH, but I was the same way with True Detective when it got too talky, but am committed.....
Love Kyle Chandler btw.....
I've watched 2 episodes, loving it
It is about the American that built the great dept. store in London. Season 1 concentrates on him starting the store with a couple soap opera sub plots. Season 2 spends about 2/3rds. with the store and a 1/3rd. soap. By Season 3, it's about 2/3rds. soap opera with a 1/3 at the store. But it does stay interesting, the sub plots do keep you interested. Many things about the story look like old cliches and cheap dramatics, but if you read up on the history of him and the store, much is true!
If you have the time, watch this documentary about him, it's really interesting.
i'm about to start downloading...is it good?
It is, IMHO. It's definitely a slow burn - but so well acted and interesting how FUCKED UP family dynamics can get, especially taken to extreme circumstances.
Hope to hear your opinions. I really really liked it
this is the new series that captured my interest more than any other
I love him too! I never thought I could see him as anything other than Coach Taylor
Impressive choice he made in this....
This, although I only made it through 2 episodes.
I managed to get through all 13 episodes. I will not watch more of it when released.
Not one character is really likable, Spacek's character gets dumber and dumber as the season progresses. And it's just constantly depressing. I'm out.
Watch the 1st 4 episodes - maybe 5- interested in other folks' opinions
These are not the raves I was hoping for. I feel it slipping farther down my Netflix queue.
Finished the last episode today, Phenomenal show. Quote on quote slow burn, but each episode is a piece of the puzzle. Linda Cardellini of Freaks and Geeks fame is in it and that's never a bad thing. Netflix just renewed it for a second season.
I'm really looking forward to season 2!
As I recall it takes 7 or 8 episodes to get really good but it's binge-watch mania the last 3 or 4 episodes
I was pretty good, little slow.
