You really don't have any back pain, it's just all in your head.

Can sitting in a comfy chair 12 hours a month really put stress on one's back? :jj:

Sarno, meditation and going to a shrink 3 times a week have really made Howard a well rounded, sane individual. Fucking guy is my dad's age and acts like a brooding teen who's struggling with his sexual identity.

Actually for Wiggy is wasn't all in his head. It was in his bulging fat fast food filled belly and not moving all day. Once he lost the weight his back pain miraculously disappeared.

Of course back pain is in howies head just like his plugs. Never understood how someone who spent 30yrs sitting in a chair for less than 20 hrs a week can have back pain...howie has always sucked as selling products.

No - because Sarno never paid me a blessed cent to claim that he helped.

I broke the L5 vetabre in my back last year. I went to a real doctor and I'm all better now. I don't think it was all in my head.

The options for back pain / injury are limited....I would check out all the options first before letting a MD/ surgeon work on my back. Once they cut , if you have a problem you may be on your own. I"ve seen this more than a few times.
And now the idiot Feds are cracking down on pain meds and the doctors who over prescribe.
Give acupuncture , chiropractor , Dr Sarno, a Physical Therapist, Yoga a try . Ain't no joke.

Ugh, I hurt my neck 4 years ago and someone recommended Sarno's books. I read one and it told me nothing. Later I had an MRI which explained why I had so much neck pain. That dude is a snake oil salesman.

Doesn't the book say that back pain is caused by anger at your father?

You could have pain for the reasons Dr. Sarno says or from an injury. He says that in his books. He's talking about the pain for which they can't find a cause, and even then with the caveat that it could simply be something they can't find, and that the mind-connection is only a possibility. For those who suffer with no relief what do they have to lose?
