Howard asked the question, but Robin cut him off saying hold on, let him answer the other question, and it went unanswered. I know he offerred advice, but Henry, you should have maybe given shortcake enough for groceries.

Joanie, Potsie, Ralph Malph and a few others won their lawsuit against CBS for royalties owed them from syndication and merchandising and they were all to receive around $200K. I guess she never received that. The interview with the Fonz was awful and I had to laugh about Howards bit about quitting fishing because every fish you catch and release dies. Who the fuck told him that?? Fucking idiot. Someone should tell him that if you take a picture of someone you trap their soul in the camera so he will stop taking pictures.

This is really a silly question. Would you give a handout to some one you worked with thirty years ago?
I am sure there are a few people I worked with that never amounted to much. Should I buy their next meal, pay for their dr. bills, or float them some rent?
It always amazes me how people are so easy to spend other people's money.

...i would and i have but it was a person i did a lot of monumental things with. sometimes a hand up isnt such a bad thing however after that i want to see a self starter restart and hit it for themselves but i do believe in selective charity.

This. Why give a handout to someone who will just blow it? Winkler knows that money will go right up her nose, or wherever the hell she's putting her drug of choice.

A guy I slightly knew from the bar was hurt on an oil rig, got a large 20 year payout..
so he lived modestly, somehow he finagled a lumpsum..
then rode hi, bought a vett, large motor home, drugs..
shortly he started selling off his stuff..
the guy use to roll in the bar with chicks and hangerons..when I seem him a couple years later in the bar he acts all happy to see me and we had never talked before...then he says "buy me a beer"..
he was flat ass broke and had never bought me a beer when he had $$ so I said
"wait a minute be right back" ..walked out the bar and never seen him again..asshole

If it's some one who means something to you then yes.
There are a few people if they showed up at my door step, I would say come on in take the back room and Ill start dinner.
I find it odd, and I see it a lot here, if some one is successful they must hand it over to people who have blown many opportunities .
I think it says more about them.

...i hear you its a losers not apply thing thats why i like to say selective charity. if a family has a busted washing machine and you give them another one or fix the one they have and dont charge for it, fix or give someone a car, whatever the case may be it feels good to just give especially if it helps someone whos trying. i helped a old friend who was and is having a hard time because he screwed the man and worked on the side. he got sick and cant work anymore and had to fight to get a minimum of ssdi. all his fault and a predictable outcome but with all that suffering around a little help was due i thought. i didnt make a habit out of it in his case because hes not willing/able/no longer has the drive to continue the fight.

How many people has Stern ever helped out? He might throw some money to a wackpacker now and then but it is usually a sponsor's money anyway. Did he even buy Hank a grave marker?

the problem is, no matter how much you give them, they will end up back where they are.
also, henry merely rented a room above the garage from her dad. it's not like those 2 were actually friends.
