Howard made a quick mention when talking about Ann Curry that there were two openings at Howard 100 News. I didn't hear much of the show so let me know. Thanks.

Steve Langford left last year to work at a local NYC FM news station. I don't know about the other position.

Yeah, but Langford's replacement was Lieberman. So these must be 2 brand new positions. Probably editors or some other useless bullshit.

    The two new positions are:

    1. Lead editor of historical whitewashing

    And

    2. Vice president, coming up with reasons that we don't dislike that person anymore.

I thought SIRIUS got rid of Howard's budget, or at least significantly reduced it? Where's the money coming for these two job openings?

Is the "historical whitewashing" the same position that was originally posted as "need someone who can wipe out the internet" or was the IT job?

Well, he said they were openings. He didn't say he would fill them. There just so happens to be an opening for a comedian in the studio too.

Honestly, how many people does a four hour radio program need to employ? I read somewhere that there are 70 people on the payroll. That's insane!

That's a tough job, dude. When I think of all the people that have been written out of the story over the years, it makes my head hurt.

Reminds me of 1984*. When you're dead to those folks, you're not just gone - you never existed in the first place.

    *not the VH album

Howard 100 News seems like a one note bit that has been driven into the ground anyway. I mean the joke was that Howard's fans are so rabid and in need of information on all things Howard that he created a "news department" to meet the demand. I think that time has passed. Save the payroll dollars.

Liberty Media is going to take care of that.

Businessmen generally don't like spending $100,000,000 yearly on a show with 100k listeners every morning.
