Stern Show Did Stump the Booey Winner Donate $5,000 to NSAL to Save Beth Stern's Job?

    June 9, 2016: Beth Stern appears on the most-watched morning television show in the country, as an embassador for the North Shore Animal League. As the show goes to commercial, Beth makes a crude joke using language unsuitable for morning television, and unbefitting of an animal shelter spokesperson: "Howard's a pussy!"



    The highly inappropriate remark is edited out of the otherwise complete segment on the Today show's website.

    Later that day I wondered:

    June 14, 2016: On his second live broadcast following Beth's lewd comment on the Today show, Howard announces the return of Stump the Booey. There was no call for contestants, no promotion of any kind, and absolutely no penalty for the contestant if she lost. (Unlike past contests, where nudity was always involved.) Us Weekly -- owned by Stern friend Jann Wenner -- promotes the appearance of the contestant -- their own film critic -- on the Stern Show to their nearly 2 million Twitter followers.

    The Us Weekly employee, who earlier confessed, "You don't go into editorial if you want to get rich," wins, and in a stunning surprise, announces she's donating her $5,000 to the North Shore Animal League. Sponsor Tommy John Underwear's CEO Tom Patterson immediately joins in, vowing to "maybe donate 5%" of all of that day's sales to North Shore Animal League. There is no mention of Beth's Bianca's Furry Friends -- just NSAL -- and when Howard thanks the two for their generosity, he praises North Shore Animal League -- not his sweet angel saint of a wife.

    Luckily non-listener Beth is listening live as this happens, and also recording video with sound. She shares proof on her Instagram account, tagging North Shore Animal League twice in just two sentences.

    Was this all just an orchestrated attempt by Howard the Pussy to save Beth's job as North Shore Animal League spokesperson after her highly inappropriate on-camera antics last week?

    The woman from US Weekly should have kept the money and gotten herself a nice haircut.

    On a scale from 1-10, a new hairstyle would probably move her up from a 5 to a 7.

    She does have a nice pair of legs, in my honest opinion. Bangable.

    The difference between NSAL and the "Nigerian Prince Send Me $10,000 And You Get $20M" email scam is that the Nigerian get rich quick scam is more believable. :artiejj:

    Absolutely, the Wig needs the charity scam to keep Beefus employed, paid and important contractually.
    The other part proving that this was thought up quickly was the lack of promotion by Wiggy on the show the week before.
    Wig would always pimp a Stump the Booey beforehand if
    A It was a real contest so he can get contestants
    B Promote a Sponsor for more than just the segment
    C Further promote the role of Executive Producer Gary Del'Abbate
    NSAL pays Beefus a pretty penny to be their Chief Fundraiser and Spokesman and without Wig all they have is a drunk mental midget that rolls around on the floor taking selfies with kittens. The foul language on the talk show should have ended her gig but NSAL is only about money, so you can buy back good graces.

    You know something? When they said they were doing "Stump The Booey" the other morning... out of NOWHERE... I was surprised, but didn't think too much of it. When they said the prize was $5,000, I briefly thought: "Wow, I can't remember the last time they had a prize THAT big and didn't promote it for weeks prior!" It wasn't until you guys brought all this to light that I realized just how MUCH of a lying shithead Howard has become.
