I'm trying to envision another way of one could have enjoyed being immersed in a sea of unkempt, dancing wanna-be hippies (that sold Puka-shell necklaces in order to pay for their Wheat-grass sandwiches & put gas in their VW Vans), while listening to 3 hours of directionless, rambling, mediocre music from the 60's & 70's... But, I cant come up with any other plausible scenarios...

You seem to be very negative.

I like GD, but not all the time. Some of their songs have outstanding lyrics. I think their music stands the test of time fairly well, but it is a time long gone now, with an entirely different frame of reference.

So, to sum things up, pretty much fuck you.:hat:

I listen to the Dead almost every day. I very rarely take hallucinogens. Perhaps I have brain damage

    Not 60s and 70s, but 60s-90s

You have to be extremely musically knowledgeable to really appreciate the Dead. Their music spans all genres

You just have to have bad musical taste.

There isnt a guitarist alive, no matter how technically skilled, that can match the tone and emotion of Jerry.

When I don't like a popular genre of music, like most rap, or classical, I wonder what is it about ME that can't appreciate music that so many others can.

And aren't you the idiot who said all reggae music sounds identical? Troll on.

Let's say they're playing a song that has a 24 bar turnaround. Some would play 18/6, others would play 6/18, and still others would play 12/12

That's why the music sounds like it's kinda formless and meandering, and all of a sudden it comes crashing back together

That is fucking cool mon

Most of my Dead Head time was up until around the mid 70's. There were some nights where they were not 'on', and some songs that were a buzz kill - Attics of My Life for ie,

But no group ever reached the improvisational highs and ecstatic peaks of the Dead. Check out Jerry's guitar on Hard to Handle from the early 70's. There's a good one on the Ladies and Gentlemen album.

And Workingman's Dead was a masterpiece.

70s were my favorite Dead era (as a look back obv ha). Before Garcia got hooked and his guitar was still soaring. There's a St Steven/Not Fade Away on that Barton Hall Library of Congress that is downright scary it's so good.

Youre one of the brain damaged ones, correct?
