Booey said he pays $2800 a month for heath insurance for his family.

I have been self-employed and always paid for my own health insurance, and never paid anywhere near 1/4 of that.

could he really be paying that much?

He's got his wife and, what, two boys on that plan? Is that how many he has, two boys?

Four people, probably going for the whole enchilada from dental and eyes, for $2,800 sounds about right. . . . for something that has lower co-pays than $45.

Don't know about CT, but in NY the insurance policies couldn't price according to age so they were pretty high. I don't pay anywhere near $2800 a month, but my employer contributes a fair amount.

Adult children from that set of wealth remain on their parent's health insurance for as long as possible.

What is the point of having company insurance if it still costs 3K a month out of pocket? What does Sirius pay for? The stamp Gary uses to send in the check? I just looked it up guessing at the little apes ages and its less than 800 a month for full coverage with no deductible from Cigna

Ha ha ha, good point. Gary didn't mind spending money on his man-cave when times seemed more stable.

I wish everyone could understand that the ACA is a red herring to bring freaking single payer to this country.

Maybe Stern and Robin have joined on to the celebrity campaign to promote Obamacare.

Not sure, I haven't heard the segment, but since when do they talk about co-pays in there.

Sure but I don't see how that's relevant. Paying over $33,000 a year for health insurance is insane!

Unless someone is really ill, how could that be worth it?
