Spam, very poisonous here.
have you thought of becoming a service advisor Mike?
lots more upselling opportunities for an enterprising young man like you...
don't be a jagoff Mike
I want to discuss this in a serious manner
Yeah but the place is 50 miles away so it's not worth it.
no; i prefer using virgin motor oil rather than repackaged, reclaimed oil.
1/2 price which a did a few times but now I just do it myself
The life of a Hyundai is very short so this is another salesman trick.
btw, oil change supplies are among the biggest rip offs the dealers get: most buy filters by the train-carload so they cost under a buck a piece (except Fram). Some brands of oil are equally as cheap (Purolator comes to mind). a Ford 1A oil filter costs dealers about a buck each.
It's a great marketing tool. Plus it's a great customer retention tool.
I wish Ford would do it.
this is bullshit.
dealers only offer oil changes for the opportunity to upsell add'l services.
and dealer techs are way better than those jiffy lube retards.
i know how little we paid for them when i worked in parts. you believe whatever you want.
and jiffy lube is garbage. i never mentioned them, you did. why?
We pay over $4 for an FL1A which you can walk into a Walmart and buy for less than we pay for them. (srs)
Froggy worked the front counter at a Dodge store in the 70's
so of course that means he knows what dealers pay for parts
We bitched FURIOUSLY to our regional rep about Walmart selling Motorcraft for under our cost and it fell on deaf ears.
I struggle to average 33.3% on my ROs. There isn't as much markup as most people think.
You matrix price on cus pay bub?
