they do for me when they try to hide it.
"Cry Wolfe" just came on Investigation Discovery. This chick seemed to be badly acting. Sure enough...

There's a fine line between entertaining and deceiving, and “Cry Wolfe” — a half-hour series from Investigation Discovery — dances right up to it. Actually, the idea of taking a real-life private detective, Brian Wolfe, and having actors re-create his cases is ostensibly pretty clever.

Power off. It's worse than soft core porn.

The ones where the huge women are portrayed as hot 20 somethings bug me. In one, they had an attractive blonde running around killing old people, and when I looked it up, in real life she weighed 450 lbs!

Hah! I usually wait for the end of the show, where they show the mugshot, and they never look like the people who portray them.
    My guilty pleasure. :)

Autopsy on HBO was the best true crime show. They didn't use shitty reenactments. They are on youtube if you havent seen it.

Not a crime scene, but I have a favorite. This actually happened. It was a documentary about Nostradamus on NBC (not a shitbag cable network) about 10 or 15 years ago. The narrator spoke, then they cut to a scene of an actor portraying Nostradamus, writing in a folio in a writer's garret. The crawler announced "Not actual footage". Any viewer with half a brain would know that, because the footage was in color. They didn't have color film in the 16th Century.
