I was just thinking - during a week of ear-bleedingly bad radio such as this one, when only dumbasses listen to the show, do Howard's advertisers know that almost nobody is listening to the ads they paid big bucks for?

Look at his advertisers. Do you think it really matters. Even jay Thomas gets vista print. Maybe not a-list advertisers but compared to the trash on 100/101 it is a-list.

If you listen to commercials from even only a year ago, you'll soon realize that 50% of those companies/sites are out of business. If you listen to stuff from 2007/8 era, 99% of them are not in business now.

Half the bigger advertisers and many of the smaller ones buy advertising on multiple channels on Sirius. They probably don't even buy the Howard Stern show specifically and it is just part of a bundle pack Sirius offer to clients.

No they don't know, they couldn't. Even at Krock when he sometimes made the ads fun by putting bits in there I used to tune to a different channel.

Those snake oil cocksuckers can barely afford the 30 bucks it costs each time their spots run on the tumbleweed-addled H100 and 101

Howard (and Sirius) get strictly bottom feeder direct response advertisers at "dollar a holler" rates, if not less.

And they all seem to use that same VO guy with the most ANNOYING, douche-CRINGING voice I have ever fucking heard. I change the channel at light speed but just a half-second of that guy's voice makes me want to hunt him down and murder him.

The guy who says "The Wrap Up JJJJJooowwww" is FAR less annoying, that's how bad it is.

Not sure who that is, but the go-to VO guy for snake oil on SiriusXM is even more annoying than the mega-douche on CBS who goes "Tonight! Dave's got Gwyneth Paltrow!!!"

I wonder if anyone who used to listen to Howard when the show was good (I think it started to get horrible in 2010) ever listens anymore. Howard is riding on his reputation from the days when he was relevant and funny and those days are long gone. You hear about people who claim to be fans (some of them celebrities) but I don't think they actually listen to the show. There is no way anyone could think this show is interesting or funny. At least Sirius still plays the old show clips from when the show was once good.
