Most i know do
they talk about the great interviews
i no longer know anybody IRL that listens. the last dude at work gave up over a year ago and went to O&A. this is the only place i have to talk about Wiggy.
Same here. I'm the only one of my group of friends that even followed Stern to Sirius.
My bro i used to listen to Howard with in college went to O&A too. But guys I meet at work, newer listeners, love the show.
last of a dying breed
Same here. I've turned people on to other shows on Sirius, but not one person listens to Wiggy.
The interviews are hit and miss for me. If it's someone I find interesting, then of course I enjoy the interview usually. It just seems like there are less and less guests that I find interesting. Like Jason Bateman... why would I ever give a shit about Jason Bateman?
did they already have Sirius for the music and found him? most of the people at my job bailed after year 3, even the two gay dudes.
I was talking to a friend of my husband's on Superbowl, he's a listener from back in the NBC days and we were discussing the show and I could tell he was still a fan so I started bringing up different ways he's sold out and he was like "oh yeah". So I told him about this site and how much he would love it. I hope he checked it out.
I can safely say no one I know listens to this shit garbage show. Terrible. And that is being polite.
The couple of guys I know who were Stern fans brought the show up less and less through the Sirius years and finally, after Artie left, not at all anymore. There is a sense of shame. I figure it is like some metalheads from the midwest wincing when they're wearing Judas Priest gear and someone says: "Hey, don't Rob Halford suck cock?"
Its people that didn't listen to Howard before that got Sirius that love him. I agree most that listened in the 90's and early 00's know he sucks but I'm thinking he has a total turnover and new fan base.
In 2014, most of Stern's fans from the past are either died from old age, are senile, or don't find him entertaining any longer. He really is irrelevant these days.
For fucks sake, put a shirt on if you want me to take you seriously.
this + the wig shit show, shit the bed & pissed on it's fans years ago.
that is his goal alright, but his and Beth's TV ratings indicate he's got a lot of work to do still.
Plus I wouldn't listen to his divorce trial if it was on cable tv.
Well, if the counter guy at my local deli and two Facebook friends count, then yes they still like the show. The deli guy likes the banter between Howard and Robin during the news, and the FB friends (who I actually haven't seen in years) are fans of the interviews.
Yes, and most of them are the same people who used to hate Howard and talked about how he degraded women just a few years ago.
Now they go on and on about what a great interviewer he is. And most got "addicted" to Howard's show after buying a new car with a free Sirius sub.
