While it is rare for me to listen to regular radio anymore, I do not want to assume my habits are the same as the mainstream's. But I recently was driving in a car that wasn't mine and decided to try out the old AM/FM. It seemed to be a shadow of how I remembered it. I found an 80s channel -- on AM, relatively local but the sound was horrible. I wondered if anyone but me in the world was listening to this channel. Do you listen to AM/FM? Do you know of anyone? It would seem that hardcore commuters have adapted and moved on to other forms of media. Maybe these radio stations still get old timers listening, or people with light commutes who don't care, or technophobes/luddites -- but the people with money often are serious commuters in the primes of their lives. Radio has to be in way worse shape than newspapers or TV as far as hope for the future goes.
just cancelled siriusxm in my car because I mostly listen to podcasts but sometimes I'll put on the local classic rock or country FM station
I listen to conservative talk radio on KSFO 560am local morning show/Lush Rimbauah/Savage Nation/Mark Levin I listen with a lot of anger and irrational thoughts.
