The "Gender Wage Gap" is taken as gospel by a whole generation of Millennial women. Do you believe that Women really make between 77% to 79% of Men's wages simply because they have a snatch between their legs?

The only true gap that could exist would be from regulation that affects the freedom of the market.

Oil workers, high rise welders, and other high risk/high pay jobs are generally male dominated.

Teachers, receptionists, and other low risk/low pay jobs are generally female dominated.

    So, yeah, there's a gap.

I don't believe there is, the way they portray it.
I don't think woman are paid less for the same job.
That's silly. The numbers they quote don't take a ton of factors into consideration

Women take more sick days than men. Why should they get paid as much as men?

No. There are too many variables they leave out.

I'm reminded of an hilarious meme I once saw: Photo of a typical SJW with the lip ring and the hair that's three shades of neon. Caption on top reads "Complains about the lack of women in hard sciences." On the bottom it's "Majors in Women's Studies and minors in sociology."

I'm reminded of that Duke student who was in pornography and majoring it women's studies, or something. Why go to private college and pay a high five figures in tuition for a degree you'll never use?

Then she'll get out and bitch that the guys from the medical school are making more money than her.

Of course there is. Look at all those all-female businesses who undercut the competition by 23%.

Women aren't educated enough at the high school level in this country to know which career paths are high paying and which ones are not?

Actually, they don't take any factors into consideration. They simply add up the wages of Men and Women and average them out. Based purely on the raw averages, that's where they get the "78%" figure.

In Victim Creation 101, they'll tell you that there can't be a "War on Women" without a Gender Wage Gap!

The only gap that exists is the one due to choices.

Don't go in and negotiate for higher pay- Your fault.
Go into a lower paying field- Your fault.
Decide it is time to have a baby and put your career on hold- Your fault.
Decide to get married and devote more time to keeping house than your job- Your fault.

I found several articles debunking it in about 30 seconds but every Millenial female believes in the GWG like it's written in stone and if you call them out on it, you get the same reaction you would if you used the "N-word" to a #BLMer.

A lot of them also think they practically endure the same amount of hardships as the Suffragettes did 100 years ago too, but that's a different story...

Oh no...employers are supposed to recognize and respect their choice to become a Mother and that they decided to devote time to their family but they also shouldn't lose any standing in the workplace because of it! :nono:

It doesn't matter as long as it can be spun into a talking point that gets a politician elected. As long as you repeat it over and over, especially on cable news shows where debate is nothing more than ppl talking over each other for a minute before tons of commercials, the low information voters will hear it and believe its true.

What's truly disgusting is when u realize that politicians like Kirsten Gilliabrand, Hillary Clinton, and Elizabeth Warren know that the truth is more complicated, but they don't care about portraying it that way. They dont care about the what is good for the country. They don't care if they tell lies and divide ppl. It's just spin, spin spin, so my side can win and I get elected.

It's the same situation with college rape statistics. If their claims about so many women getting raped on college campuses were true, why would any woman ever set foot on a college campus? Yet college campuses are all, and increasingly so, dominated by women. So much of it is bullshit. Ofcourse if u try and debunk it, u are accused of not supporting rape victims.

First off, the Department of Labor conducts a "Time Use Labor Survey" every few years. It is a FACT that men, on average, work 8 hours and 15 minutes per day and women work 7 hours and 45 minutes per day. That alone contributes to one fourth of the gap in pay.

The remainder of the pay gap is primarily attributed to the variables already outlined above by other posters. Historically, men will work more labor intensive jobs in order to make a higher wage than women. For example, how many female loggers do you see? How many women tar roofs in the summer sun? How many work on commercial fishing boats? Women, by contrast, historically have chosen careers with lower pay but more comfort (teacher, receptionist). These differences in labor choices are generally based on social norms and maternal/paternal roles. You can argue the merit of those cultural patterns but you can't argue their existence.

If you want to compare apples to apples, compare college educated men working white collar jobs to college educated women working white collar jobs. There is still a slight wage gap but it decreases to zero when using the same 40 hour work week (see my first paragraph).

What you get paid and what you earn are NOT the same......

If women are paid less than men in the U.S.A. for the same results/output....Then the employers would just hire women, which they don't.
The modern 'wage gap myth' is a ploy of complaining about a 'perceived' outcome, not a redressing of an opportunity for work equality....They want to complain until outcomes are artificially adjusted as being the same irrespective of work type and hours worked.

There are so many videos that address this on youtube that you wonder what the fuck are those with the agenda (Third wave feminists/SJW's) are talking about.

Calling it a "gap" is retarded.... Cunt, u do know ur comparing different fields right... Or do u believe we should all get paid the same no mater what?

And shouldn't a job that could kill u get compensated more than a safe job?
