Do you count calories or Fat or Carbs? (srs)

    I try, mostly fail, to track what I eat. I want to see what I'm getting too much of for sure and what I'm not getting enough of. I'd like to get into swimsuit shape by summer (of 2015).

    My wife, on the other hand, seems to know instinctively what not to eat and has the will power not to eat it.

    I know fried foods, soft drinks, candy, etc are really bad for you but I need to be able to see how bad they are an how much I'm going overboard.

    I've done low carb a few times. It works, but made me miserable too. Never again.

    what worked for me is no fried foods, no soda or drinks with any calories and staying under 1600 calories daily..lost 20 pounds in a month doing that.

    I'd be skinny too if I ate Kosher. I don't think the Buffalo Wild wings around here conform.

    I don't drink much pop. Maybe one every two weeks. But I like the margaritas! Fried foods are my weakness. I have a feeling I go way over 1600. Probably at dinner.

    yeah it was lots of grilled chicken and vegetables and fruits for dessert...or turkey burgers and baked chips.

    eat whole foods - nothing processed

    skip anything not in its "natural" (if you can) state
