That's the only way I drive.
TOMS RIVER -- Howard Stern sidekick Artie Lange was charged with driving under the influence after he crashed his car into another vehicle in Toms River this afternoon.
Lange, 41, was driving a leased 2009 silver Nissan Sentra on Silver Bay Road around 1:30 p.m. when he rear-ended a car stopped to make a left turn onto Brand Road while he intended to proceed straight, said Toms River police Capt. Steven Henry. The second car, a silver 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, was occupied by two 18-year-old males from Toms River, Henry said. Both vehicles sustained minor damage but no one was injured, he said.
At the scene, the investigating officer determined Lange appeared to be under the influence, Henry said, noting that police could not immediately determine whether there was alcohol or drugs allegedly involved.
Lange, who lives in Roseland, was arrested and charged with careless driving and driving under the influence, Henry said.
He said Lange was released at 4:45 p.m. but the Nissan would be impounded for 24 hours.
i need a ride
Never more than five beers. Our cutoff point is around four for a guy my size, I think.
After that, I realize I'm dangerous and am better off walking or staying home.
never been in a accident while driving
buzzed driving is ok..right?
I take a cab or Uber because I have no license. I know myself.
some 75 y.o. drunk bastard plowed into a sports bar in my town and killed a guy sitting at the bar.
that's a tough way to go; it was happy hour and he hadn't gotten his second drink.
Not after I got a reckless/DUI and eluding. Spent 7 days in the hospital after a compound fracture and almost lost my leg.
@self righteous outrage
I never drive drunk now but as a teen and into my twenties it was very common.
If I know I'm going to be drinking I uber it
Not since I was 19, and lost three teeth, when riding in a car with a buddy who, while while drunk, was doing donuts in a frozen parking lot and hit a curb and rolled the car.
As far as can tell, my head banged into the head rest and smashed out the teeth. I broke three ribs, had a concussion and had a seatbelt bruise for weeks after.
I should probably add that I was 17 when I did that... and my future and current wife was 15 and riding shotgun.
In Arizona that is an expensive lesson.
1st offense minus lawyer fees will cost you over $10K in fines. You also get 2 weeks to a month in tent city which is an outdoor prison made up of old Army tents. Not fun if you have to do your time in the summer.
In addition your license is suspended for 30days and you have to get an interlock breathalyzer for a year afterwards.
Or you could just call a cab.
When did this happen?
