I'm kinda 1/2 and 1/2
I'm felling pretty sick right now.
Quiet for the most part. We talked about our weird cousin who gets arrested all the time for being drunk and naked in public, the Knock Out Game, and MST3K.
my two daughters were over. i couldn't get a word in edgewise - literally. they flat wore me out. gotta love em.
My family can get on my nerves pretty good.
This was the first year my wife and I did thanksgiving because we finally have a house big enough for everyone to come over.
She made two turkeys, they were both great, home made stuffing was awesome. I made 3 tables for everyone to sit, they worked out great. We were genuinely glad to have everyone here. Best thanksgiving in a long time.
Sounds awesome. Its a chore but fun to host.
ive got a small family, so its pretty chill. also, i actually like my parents.
Yes. My Grandmother has cancer and is 94. So family thanksgiving took priority this year.
That's the best, that's how it is when my girls & me hang out.
Yeah we never realized how much work it was until we hosted it. I mean, we knew, but it's different when you actually go through it all firsthand.
When I was younger, I would have said "they drive me nuts and I can't wait to get away" but now it's just good to see everyone and enjoy the moment.
We've been hosting for the last 4 or 5 years since it became too much work for my in-laws, today was the smallest group at 15 people, and I honestly love every minute of their company. My wife and her sisters were singing songs in French from their childhood today that I've never heard before. Fucking hilarious.
It's a lot easier to deal with everyone's personalities when you host because I think you're too busy for anything to get on your nerves.
that's exactly how I feel.
How many people did you host today?
13 people for dinner, then 4 more came for desert too. I forgot though, my wifes brother and sister blew us off today so she's a little upset about that.
So... She would definitely answer different then I did
Yeah, we had 4 people show up an hour late so they missed out on the platters of shrimp cocktail.
You snooze, you lose around here.
I'm lucky we all get along great. Thanksgiving is the time we all make an effort to get together.
They are generally pretty fun as long as my bro-in-law doesn't start acting like a dick. Usually he keeps his mouth shut when I'm around.
