I have additional L/R speakers with a subwoofer deal going on. Would a soundbar add anything to my TV enjoyment experience? :dontknow:

If you have a home theater setup and you don't have a center speaker yet, then for movies, yes. For music, no.

Two big-ass stereo speakers is still the way to go if you want the best audio quality for music. I'm talking about this kinda shit:

Add a subwoofer with a dedicated amplifier in it if you must. Don't buy into the Bose horse shit. Small speakers + subwoofer sounds like shit when you turn up the volume, especially in a large room.

Like frenchfries said, it depends on the size of your room. I'm buying this baby when it goes on sale again (supposedly around Super Bowl time according to the Magnolia rep at Best Buy).

Stay away from the cheapass $100 soundbars, those don't do crap. The one in the link above sounds just as good as a "home theater surround system" and comes with its own sub. If you're at a BB anytime soon, go in the Magnolia room and listen to it, compare it to some of the other systems that are hooked up to receivers, you'll be pretty surprised.
