I cannot believe how many people on the Howard Stern show have no idea how to change a flat tire.

    So far:
    Lieberman
    Benjy
    J.D.

    How about you?

i could do it if I had to (I think), but my first choice is always to call my insurance company to get me fixed up.

I made my kid show me he could do it before I let him take his road test. Knowing and being able is different though....try to get a lug but off after 30,000 miles with the crappynlug wrench cars come with now......

Should any allowances be made for the staff that live in Manhattan and don't even own cars?

Yeah, it's easy. Back when I was a teenager I used to love tinkering with my '67 Chevelle. Oil changes, spark plug replacement, carb and valve adjustments, hose and belt changes were all a snap back in the days before computers controlled everything! Tire changes are freakin' easy even with today's cars. If you're a man and you can't change a tire, you should just turn in your testicles.

by the time i'd be able to get the tire off, they're here. it's one of those really amazing services that are so inexpensive to join that are lifesavers.

I have changed tires and could, but today with sailphones, it's foolish to change your own tire. I'd rather someone else stand with their back turned a few feet from cars and trucks going 80mph.

If you can't change a flat, you shouldn't drive.
