Seems like a big waste of time to me
I consider myself Agnostic, but yes I do say my prayers every night.
I have and do. Not gonna lie, I question it sometimes but I figure there's gotta be something bigger and much, much more powerful out there....
I believe there are no atheists in foxholes, but I also believe that "Cryin' won't help ya, and prayin' won't do ya no good....."
I have and do sometimes. To various Gods and gods. I think. Maybe just to the air.
Not since I was about 7 years old.
organized religion is wrong, but there is something to all of this, IMO
Not really, no. I did go to Catholic school, though, i had to go through the routine there.
I agree and yes I do. I always pray to him too when things are going good for me like yesterday to let him know How much I appreciate it.
What have you prayed for and it happened?
Why can't he be a she? Mother Nature, birth giver.
When you hear me talk about god I'll is use she or life also because to megod is pure energy
Well it appears she has be good to you and wants you to succeed in a new job your prayers worked
I hope so man
I did during the brainwashing phase when I was in catholic school and they were trying to indoctrinate me into their cult. Since then I really don't believe in a god. I do marvel at mother nature and the wonder of it all. I think the need for a "supreme being" is a bit silly and deminishes the beauty and complexity of nature but if it makes life easier for ya' and you don't push it on me them have at it.
As far as the "no atheists in foxholes" that's a great line but the the few times I've been getting my ass handed to me at work praying to god was the furthest thing from my mind. Athiesm intact!
There's far too much suffering here on Earth for me to believe there's a God.
I went back and forth on the issue for a long time, too.
In a way, since we control our own destinies, I think we are our own gods, though some obviously take it to a different level and feel the need not to just worship themselves, but have others worship you as well.
I believe the opposite. A good christian would not need a foxhole because God would protect him.
Often I reflect on my day and thank God each night a) for my home b) my health c) my family/friends d) my job and the most important one e) that i was born in the United States of America.
A lot of us take that last one for granted.
