I was trying to figure out if it was just a catchy name, or if they actually did rent beater cars for pretty cheap. Can you remember what they were for?

It was keeping me up last night.

I don't get it. The websites say they don't rent you pieces of crap. They just "lovingly" refer to their cars as wrecks.

They are gone from our area; I just looked one about 80 miles from me, and it's $43 plus tax per day to rent a Hyundai Accent :jj:

    Talk about a bargain

That's terrible! The Nissan Altima we just turned back in to Enterprise was $30 a day.

Oh yeah. I remember that. They would rent to service men unless we signed our lives away.

There's a place here called Fox Rental and we had to bring our electric bill down for them to rent us a car.

That's 'cause you were probably smart enough to avoid the rental place's absurd insurance add-ons. I wonder if the Rent-a-Wreck $43 charge included insurance.

    "That's how they getcha!"

In college, I rented from a local place that rented junky cars for cheap. I wondered if places like that were still around today.
