I cant believe how many 80's volvos are still on the road and running. I see them more than any other car from that era. They were built to last.

I live in a big retirement area and it seems like most of the vulvas around here are old.

Damn right. Those suckers go on forever.
I had a v70 T5 that was a beast. Electronics were fucked though. Even volvo techs couldn't sort the random alarm issue. Neighbors loved me.

I live near Portland, Or., and there are a ton of them and old Mercedes Benz around. Sorry about yours, but they do require maintenance to stay on the road- a lot of maintenance.

SE Mass/RI area. Actually I drove by a shop recently and saw a old Volvo in a bay and I was thinking the repairs have to cost more than the car is worth. Why is this person even bothering

I do see a lot of old Volvos, and I live in the heart of the rust belt. What I see the most is old Chevy trucks, some Fords. What I never see is old Jap trucks.

Yes. My first car was an old 240. Miss that thing. When I see them on the road I wish I still had mine. One funny thing, some cars have trouble starting in cold weather. My Volvo never did. But when it was hot out the old sonofabitch wouldn't crank. Fucking Swedes.

Old Volvos> new Volvos. I'd love to have a V60 Type R AWD, but the collar that holds the rear drive shaft will break under hard acceleration, and it's an expensive bitch to fix. If I go AWD, I'll go Subaru WRX.

I was buying my kid a happy meal yesterday and some old bitch was trying to order a whopper jr with "fried onions" from an English as a second language-dreamer. After she broke out her coin purse to start counting nickles and dimes I resisted the urge to kick em both in the Volvo.

Plus they attract cheap buy and hold owners who don't care a whole lot about new tech and such in cars. Flashier brands get a lot of 3 year leases.

I drive a Volvo but generally move on to something new every 3-4 years.

I think I see the problem. You were attempting to purchase a happy meal at Burger King.
