I very rarely ever have problems falling asleep. Even reading a book that I want to get into, I can barely make it through a chapter.

So last night, on a whim, I installed an app on my phone that played the sound of rain. Shit was relaxing. Let it run all night, had a great sleep. Looking forward to exploring this more.

Use some type of air purifier, in the summer the AC does the trick.

Noise doesn't matter. My head just has to hit the pillow and I'm out.

You can't stay awake so you put on go to sleep sounds? Wtf, you should play sounds of car crashes, jackhammers, or I-95 glory holes.

I grew up in the sticks. In the summer it was a symphony of frogs, crickets and all sorts of critters of the night. I miss that.

No, I'm not trying to stay awake. I just mention the book thing to reinforce my point that I don't have problems falling asleep.

I grew up just the opposite, hearing the sounds of the trains passing by. I miss that too.

Ceiling fan has to be on every night. It doesn't make noise but it instantly feels stuffy in the room if I forget to turn it on.

I have a fan on. I have to drown out the ringing in my ears.

My first home was close to a railroad tracks. It shook and vibrated the house and felt like it caused the bed to skip across the floor. I slept through it at night. Another home was right off of an interstate. I could never open the back windows.

I typically set the late late show tv sleep timer for 60 minutes on low volume and I'm asleep before the tv shuts itself off...

Plus it's already on the news channel I want to see when I wake up, so winning

I do miss Craig Ferguson though

I secretly hope the weather reporter dies when they stand reporting in front of the big natural disaster.

    Is that wrong?
