do you still own and operate a land line telephone?

I do, because my cable and internet are cheaper if I bundle them all together. I rarely use it. But i like talking on a land line vs. cell phone because when 2 people are on a cell phone, any noise cuts you off from hearing what the other person said.

Mine isn't cheaper, but it only cost an extra $10 to go with a bundle with a phone as opposed to one without. I never use it, but for $10, its nice to have one there so when someone is over my house and ask to use the phone, there is one there. I also use it for call screening purposes. People I want to talk to get my cell number, people I might want to talk to get my home number.

A REAL land line will work if your power goes out.

    A cable phone will not.

    A cordless phone will not.

A wireless will work till the battery dies.

I no longer have a land line. I have triple play from cablevision.

Yea we still have a landline. Like someone else said, it's pretty cheap bundled in with intranet and tv, and I don't get the best cell signal inside my house anyways.

If your bundled telephone is from a cable company, it's NOT a land line.

If it's from Verizon or AT&T it IS a land line.

I have just few weeks ago had a landline connected due too it being part of a bundle but do not have a telephone connected to it and prob wont bother too get one.It just made the bundle cheaper.
Before that i hadnt had a landline for about 5 years.Telephones are overrated i still prefer smoke signals.
