Not for the general population, but for audiophiles, and such?

I keep seeing these massive box sets I would like to purchase, but I rarely listen to CD's outside my car.

I'd be more interested in FLAC files... DVD > CD. But as the Pono Player found out, studios are not in a hurry to remaster their original tapes for FLAC-type releases...

Vhs and audio cassettes are coming back so yes plus I don't feel like CDs really went away at least not to the extent as many other methods of entertainment.

Yup obviously not in stores everywhere but many cult films and or albums are being released on those platforms for obsessed fans.

Yea, I still listen to CDs in cars all the time. I will occasionally put one on at home, I guess...but it's not too often. I don't have anything of much quality to listen to them on, either. Just a shitty old stereo I've had forever.

Retard generation doesn’t want to go to the store anymore and look through records, so we’re stuck either getting gouged online or having to download shitty sounding albums to a phone or computer....

    Rock music is over.

Yes, as a piece of 80s-90s nostalgia for younger folk not unlike that of cassettes.

Just out of curiosity, where do you live? The places I have lived all have many thriving independent record shops....

The only reason would be to get full, non-compressed digital sound which is tough to find these days.

They next problem you have is that most people now listen to music on crap equipment which defeats the purpose of a high quality recording.
