    From my experience, the answer is "no". In fact, during times when I've been at my most positive minded, without fail the rug gets pulled out from under me and I've ended up much worse than before. I do beleive firmly that having a happy life equates to a positive attitude, though, a subtle but crucial difference.

    I do believe it helps you to see clearly even in the bad times which makes the bad times in life much shorter. I watch The Amazing Race. The team that keeps its spirits up with positive thinking seems to always win.
