Who's lives he ruined by forcing the show to move to NY? Either uproot your entire family to follow AGT or lose your job. Nice choice.

All so that Howard can bank a few more million he'll never spend, and so Beth can get some more publicity.

(But Leno, by the way, was a pretentious scumbag for continuing to pay his staff during the writing strike. )

Howard is a selfish egomaniac. Everything has to be about him, even with people he thinks he cares about.

I had what I thought was a friend like that, had to make everything about themselves. Had a friend come down from out of town and had to make sure it was on his birthday so the attention would go to him when we got together. Posted the invite online, fuck you bitch if you wanted me there you should have asked me. That's why I'm sure your party was a flop and could have been held in a pinto.

He couldn't give a shit who loses their job over that move.

good point, it was a dick move....on the other hand, the show was probably failing & the producers were looking for a big shake up to revive it. i dunno, never watched it, but it seems there is too many talent shows & the public is weary for the most part.

The show will be cancelled by next season. Stern was a hail Mary pass that won't even reach the end zone.

Sirius XM merger was NOT good for a few hundred people that were booted to the curb because of redundancy and cost cutting.

Merger was amazing for a few greedy dudes at the top....including Howie.

    It's gonna be a failure.

Simon Covwell is pissed off about the X factor because it was a huge hit in England and failed here, so he fired everyone.

Same with AGT it will be a failure

People are still loyal to that shit show American Idol.

Howard could've done the show in Hollywood if he wanted to. He's already explained that he's taken vacation time to shoot AGT...

like many of you who post here, i sincerely hope AGT is a monumental failure.
i know i have little to no interest in watching that pile of shit even to see how awful it turns out to be.
i'll probably tune in to the very first show...it will be almost cathartic to see how much i hate it.

nope, not one second, he doesn't even care for his show staff who's been loyal for years .. or really retarded since they agree to work for peanuts and be subjected to giant ball busting when stern needs to fill time ..

Not at all - if anything, he will take credit for creating jobs for people in New York as a result of the show's relocation.

Even after all this time, all this evidence, his devout superfan supporters still can't wrap their brains around the reality of their king.

"Could he really be an asshole?"

Yes. He's a douchebag egomaniac. The sky is blue. Look at the world around you, man.

The dude barely gives a shit about his kids, you think he cares about some stage hand he's never met working in L.A.? His priority list of humanity starts and ends with Beth O. Maybe his parents in there, too, but otherwise that's it.

Don't quote me on this but I think he said something like that briefly during an interview.

I do think he thought about it...and then orgasmed at the thought...feeling powerful and relevant again.

There is probably no reason he couldn't have worked the schedule so he could do it in LA. The guy only works 3 days a week and has tons of vacation time. They could have made it happen.

AGT has been a big summer hit for a number of years now -- it has a built in audience -- it would be almost impossible for the show to fail no matter who is sitting in Piers' chair
