Do you think that Howard considers AGT to be the pinnacle of his career?

I wonder how he would answer that question? Private Parts?

What got me thinking about this is there is a weird dynamic at play here: Howard is the earner in his marriage (obviously) and Nick Cannon is clearly the "Beth O", and yet here they are, sharing the same stage.

Isn't strange that on Howard's ascent up the Hollywood Fame Ladder, he just got to the Nick Cannon rung?

Mariah Carey watching AGT is like Howard watching Mom Caves.

Howard thought AGT would be the pinnacle because he's so delusional he doesn't realize most of his fanbase is gone.

I don't think that he believes its the pinnacle of his career, but it is the pinnacle of getting paid a ton of money to do nothing. I'm sure he thought he'd never surpass what he pulled at Sirius, but getting paid $20 mil to "judge" and lose ratings has to be the best gig ever.

Certainly she's more famous and more talented, but by what measure is Carey the "earner" in their relationship? She's still a fat diva, but has she really made big money in the last 20 years or so?

God I hope so. It would prove just how out of touch and delusional he is.

If it was a success it would be the pinnacle. As a moderate failure it was just for fun.

Who cares. Howard stole his material throughout his radio career and did the old "they're all copying me" routine..we bought into his "man of the people" b.s. ...and now he's selling out like a Wendy's at a fat people convention

As the songwriter of many of her hits, she's cashing checks every month.

Problem is, he's spent the past few years alienating his fanbase in order to obtain this kind of bland, mass-market acceptance.

I'd say that he probably considers the $500,000,000 deal with SIRIUS to be the pinnacle.

See that's the problem with this question: If he says "no", then he's acknowledging that he's on the downslope....

Someone should call him and ask...

He intended this to be the pinnacle of his career no doubt.

He saw agt as a low risk (it was already #1 against no competition) chance to get on primetime network tv. Howard envisioned his fans flocking to the show and turning it into Thunderdome.

The type of show that everyone talked about around the water cooler

He envisioned that ratings would go up (Leiberman predicted at least 16 mil, that was probably considered a safe estimate) and he would become King of Primetime tv. He would be the man to lead nbc out of the basement and would become one of the network's power players and marque talent.

He envisioned his face featured prominatantly in the mural at 30 rock right alongside jay leno, brian willaims, matt lauer, lorne michaels, tina fey and the other big wigs at nbc. Albeit was Howard, not them, who wa responsible for nbc's return to it's 90s glory.

With that Howard could tell sirius to piss off and he would leave radio and be a network star. Meanwhile laughing to the bank and claiming that he was the man who killed off radio once he took his scary talent elswhere.

    It was all a dream.

If Howard would be truly honest, the 3 pinnacles of his career would be:

    1. his 1997 movie premiere at a sold out madison square garden
He literally had 7th avanue closed down for a live concert featuring the legenday jane's addiction back together for the first time in 6 yrs, as well as a great duet with rob zombie.
The movie was also very well recieved by both critics and his hard core fans

    2. the 911 and subsequent radio broadcasts. when people were running scared howard stayd on air and came right back to work the following day bringing much comfort to many during an aweful time

    3. His going away speech at terresrtial radio where the streets were filled with long time fans there to say good buy and thankyou, along wiht his first few years at sirius where he did some of the edgiest, original, and hilarious broadcasting of his career

Conning Sirius out of a half billion was the pinnacle.

I think he considers the Siruis/XM merger his pinnacle.
