My laptop was recently wiped clean due to a repair. When I reinstalled Chrome, I didn't install ad block. I was getting all of these messages from web sites shaming me for taking away the ads so I thought I'd try it without adblock.

Jesus. It's a crazy world out there without adblock. I made it a couple of weeks but caved yesterday. The fucking ads are ridiculous.

Yeah adblock has been very useful. I really hate it when sites whine at you for using it. As if you're commiting some horrible crime.

I wasn't even able to get on Forbes.com a while back because of ad block. I can live without them.

Getting a gold sub makes all the ads go away.

noscript is only for Firefox. Pretty sure Scriptsafe is close to the same thing for Chrome.

Also, adblock has been selling whitelist status to different advertisers.

Ads are malicious. I keep cleaning malware off of peoples computers because they get duped into clicking on false news articles.

Highly recommend adblock. No youtube commercials neither.

some streaming sites make you disable adblock to stream their content. :cuss:

People are dumb and need someone to hold their hand while being online.
