Gas prices are rising every day. Do you take advantage of alternate forms of travel? Do you carpool? Anyone have a teleport machine? When I lived in NYC/NJ I took the PATH and subway everywhere. It was so simple to get anywhere doing so. The public transportation system in south Florida blows, but I have begun using the Tri-Rail when I work out of my West Palm Beach and Miami offices. I enjoy it.
Sucks around Dallas. The Dart is good but extremely limited. I don't think there are any city busses.
i did that a lot in college. it was a pain in the ass sometimes having to wait up to an hour for a route, especially during winter.

The park and ride in the suburbs around Houston are decent because it is a bunch of like minded people using it. The ones in town are open season on anyone.
i should ride it more often ....in st.louis the metro link is pretty efficient....as much of it as i built ...i only rode on it for test runs ....they make the builders ride it first to show its safe....its stupid but i guess if someones gonna die on the first run they want it to be the builders of the tracks ballast crossovers and electrical overhead...good money working down there
I took the subway from the bronx into manhattan for a few years and then I figured out that the hour and a half commute by subway took 45 minutes by car so i started to drive.
When I go out at night I either take a cab or ride my bike. Parking is mad expensive and having my car downtown with me pretty much assures I will be driving drunk.
