    She failed to present her health insurance card.- Why do you have to go demonize the doctors.

    This doesn't appear to be in the United States, it appears to be in one of those countries that Howard would be afraid to visit. Like the panhandle of Florida.

    The doctor only gets up for 4 hours 3 days a week, but he will not get up for the next six Wednesdays.

    i was a respiratory therapist for a few years.

    some doctor's and nurses were some cold hearted people. i think it was a response to dealing with death and destruction every day.

    one day i watched something they called a "slow code". the patient was old, on life support and wouldn't live long, but the family wanted him to be kept alive as long as possible. when he went into cardiac arrest, procedure required that a code blue be announced so the right people rush to the room. the nurses and doctor working on him all started moving, i shit you not, in slow motion and talking slowly (no i wasn't high). like it was a big joke.
    i still remember the nurse slowly saying;
    I'll
    gooooooo
    get
    the
    cooooooode
    caaaaaaaaart

    it was surreal.

    i get allowing the guy to die, but when the family showed up, the doctor was explaining how they did everything they could but he died. total lie. again, i get it, but don't trust them. they will maybe do what the family wants.

    i'm sure the guy was happy they let him die. it just bothers me that they lied about it so easily.

    I agree with you about the dishhonesty but some sort of rules need to be made so that the families cannot mandate code status.

    It happened in Brazil, and it's kinda usual in public healthcare system. Last year an old lady died after a nurse mistakenly injected coffee into her vein. Didn't she know coffee is supposed to be enema-ed, Robin?

    How can you blame the doctor?!?! She looks poor! He was probably waiting for her to die so that he can harvest her organs... :coffee:
