GOOOOOOD MORNING Its Saturday!!!
I don't chat on the computer while watching The Doctor, it's distracting. I will check in after though.
in the same boat. I will chat before and after.
Ya still in deep doodoo Oswin?
I hope it's not as shitty as last week's episode. That was horrid.
Last weeks episode was excellent and I expect the same tonight.
The Doctor and Clara land on a submarine in 1983 as it spirals into the depths of the ocean with a loose alien creature on board.
This. I haven't been all that thrilled with either of the first two episodes.
I had really high hopes after the Xmas special too. I thought it was a great.
i would get the bbc but it's in a package with 20 channels i'll never watch. i already have 50 channels i never watch. that would be 70!
You should have seen this on my 60" tv , it was breathtaking
Seriously, the character development was excellent, we learned a little more about Clara and saw how she handled her first adventure, The Doctor stood on a ledge on an asteroid looking thing and told a planet to go fuck itself (or so it seemed), the little girl sang like an angel... What's not to like?
I am waaaaay behind in doctor who.
I think 7 has been the best Matt Smith season...
angels in manhattan was awesome, killed off the annoying ponds, asylum introduced oswin. snowmen was the best christmas special, loved last week.
The first episodes with a new companion always suck. I guess it takes time for the writers to do character development.
I liked the speech. I also liked the one he gave the little girl about how we were all created. I'm on my phone now so finding it and posting it would be a pain but... You remember it. Also very good
vaguely, I remember him having a speech about how everything is pulled in and mushed up through time until it is perfect. I will try to find it for you.
"Hey, do you mind if I tell you a story, one you might not have heard? All the elements in your body were forged many, many millions of years ago in the heart of a faraway star that exploded and died. that explosion scattered those elements across the desolations of deep space. After so, so many millions of years, these elements came together to form new stars and new planets. And on and on it went. The elements came together and burst apart, forming shoes and ships and sealing wax, and cabbages and kings. Until eventually they came together to make you. You are unique in the universe. There is only one Merry Galel. And there will never be another. Getting rid of that existence isn't a sacrifice. It is a waste."
