"immoral" wealth inequality, when the Catholic Church maintains billions of dollars of real estate, art, antiquities and jewelry, in it's churches, hospitals, colleges and private schools?

Oh and while he bitches about Congress being bought by the banks and corporations, he neglect to mention that one of the largest religious advocacy organizations (lobbyists) in Washington, for example, is the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, which has an annual budget of $26.6 million.

Are they supposed to sell the Sistine Chapel for cash? We have poor people here, but we still have museums and such.

There is artwork in basements, (including those looted by the Nazis) real estate being unused, jewelry and other items that could be sold. Their cash assets run around 3 billion.

As a Jew, he should be ashamed of himself

    http://www.newsmax.com/PatriciaPierce/Vatican-Hitler-Fine-Art/2015/10/20/id/697206/

Scholars and lawyers have long felt that during World War II, the Vatican Bank profiteered from money laundering; selling stolen Nazi loot; and buying and selling Jewish refugees’ insurance policies after they were killed in death camps. In order to benefit the church, its leaders use suppressive measures to bypass, ignore, or tolerate Nazi crimes.

Attorney Jonathan Levy of Washington, who represents holocaust survivors and heirs, claims the Roman Catholic Church and its bank dealt with gold and other valuables stolen after the genocidal murders of 500,000 Jews, Serbs, and gypsies and deposited the profits at the Vatican Bank in 1946.

In 1976, a court declared that the Vatican Bank had immunity under the Foreign Service Immunities Act, but in October 2010, holocaust survivors accused the Vatican of helping Nazi allies launder valuables stolen from their families and asked the European Commission to investigate their allegations.

From their aggressive promotion of illegal immigration to their unflinching advocacy of wealth redistribution schemes on multiple levels, you really might want to be rethinking your opposition to the Catholic Church. ;)

Yes. Idiots like the OP think they'll sell the artwork and real estate, and then give the money to the poor, who will then magically become prosperous and healthy, because all you need is other people's money.

Glib, superficial and cheap rhetoric - just what the Internet was made for.

Seriously sweetie, any large institution will have plenty of conspicuous waste and individuals taking advantage of the crowd and resources, but if you're not familiar with Pope Francis (and I imagine you are, happily and of your own volition) you probably don't know one of his first major points when assuming the office of pontiff was to take the other bishops to task for what he saw as wasteful use of funds for large estates and luxury cars (among of things).
