Does anyone here have trouble falling asleep?

    My only other suggestion is to exercise. Walk a few miles a day. If your body is tired you mind will want to rest. A tired dog is a good dog.

    i can't imagine what else you could use if ambien doesn't work.

    sure but thats not necessarily the reason. some of us can remain in while lying on our side.

    Stosh, have you ever considered meditation? Not just a sleep meditation at bedtime, but making it part of your daily life? Look into that!

    Also, do you have a good mattress? And don't look at your phone right before bed or in the middle of the night.

    I know this sounds simple, but take a few deep breaths, and then start counting backwards from 30. When you get off track because your mind wandered off, start over. It works, I kid you not.

    Same problem. I've had some luck with ASMR videos on YT, particularly the ones where they give a faux eye exam and you track the light with your eyes. I've fallen asleep sitting upright at my desk many times.
