I'm listening to the show where he talks to Kelly Carlin.

He gives this big story about going to the Craig Kilborn show and asking the driver who the first guest is...turns out to be George Carlin. Calls Norm McDonald etc etc. George gives him a hug in the hall...etc etc. Artie tells Craig it's hard to follow the best comedian ever.

Artie says it was in November 1999

Kilborn only had 1 show in Nov. 1999 and Artie and George were not on it

And as far as I can tell Artie and George were ever guests on the Craig Kilborn show

    I searched their IMDBs....looked for videos etc.....NOTHING!!!!

WTF if Artie is just going to make stuff up then I'll read a book instead

That's probably because he said Greg Kinnear, not Craig Kilborne.

    Dummy.

Hey so I'm listening to the Kelly Carlin episode... he did say Craig Kilborn, around 49:46. "Show after Letterman" he says, which was Kilborn's time slot.

Unless this was a joke that way over my head.

    Crap.

I must have heard it wrong, then.

I swore I heard Kinnear - who did have a talk show in the '90s but not in 99 - that would have been Kilborn.

Sorry @cgb999 - but just because Imdb doesn't list the show doesn't mean it didn't happen. Imdb is about as reliable as Wikipedia.

And Artie's told this story before, but I think he was probably blowing smoke up Kelly's skirt a little when he said "seeing George in that hallway was the most important moment in his career" though..

There is an episode from Kilborn's first season in 99 with George Carlin on it....it also lists Master P and The Stills as guest.....no mention of Art. You can watch it through Amazon Prime.....but I cancelled my subscription. Any prime member who want to peruse to see just how full of shit Arthur is????

On a side note, I thought Kilborn was just OK 15 years ago but I'd take him in a second over the 12:30 guys around today.
