During the horrible Animal or Benji bit today, Howard introduced it by saying it came up in their writing meeting. He then pretended that he was there at the meeting while Benji made animal noises and that it was annoying. A few minutes later, Gary came stumbling in "Boff, Boff, this came up during our writing meeting, Benji makes these noises". Howard said "I know!" in an annoyed voice. Then they told him a story about how Benji got yelled at by Tracy for acting like a dog during the writing meeting.

Is Howard so lazy that he doesn't even attend the writing meetings?

I thought writer's meetings stopped about 20 years ago.

There are eighteen levels of meetings where the 'alleged' funny festers before Booey presents the best of the fest to the King.
You must impress Gary in order to get your bit to Howard....:jj:

Based what I heard it sounds like Howard doesn't attend the creative or writers meetings. He could care less about his show and it is evident in half assed broadcasting

After today, I wonder if the writers attend the writers' meetings.

Funny thing is, he obviously didn't know how bad this bit was. He started it off by saying how hard it was to tell the difference. Then during the bit, he was saying how easy it was. This was clearly the first time he heard any of it. Basically, he started the bit off by taking credit for it, and by then end, completely disowned it.

I think there was a time he attended some sort of weekly meeting, but these days once the show is over its a b-line to the limo and he's gone without a care.

its pretty evident Gary is the filter on what comes out of the current weekly meeting because its fucking garbage in terms of 'new ideas that make it to the show, there's no morale left to speak of, its just a bunch of untalented yes men going through the motions hanging on to their jobs with the minimum effort in this current suck era of "Ronnie Mund is the new Artie"

Benjy even said in regards to his noises, "That's not even true. That's a whole made up thing to make this bit. I don't do that at the meetings." So Howard's whole "we hear benjy making animal sounds at our writing meetings" premise is horse shit. Richard also came in after the bit and told a story about Benjy during one of the writing meetings that Howard clearly knew nothing about.

Well its clear Howard refers to "our writing meetings" the same as Robin still refers to guests as coming into "our studio" while she's in bed in another state.

I think the case is closed here.

If you have ever subscribed to HTV (like I used to) you will see how during the commercial breaks Will, Gary, and sometimes Jason come scrambling in to tell Howard what happened on the wrap up show, info about the guests, what's going on in the back, ect ect ect.

Howard didn't hear about this bit till this morning

Howard went right along with the cum fiesta bit they served up for breakfast yesterday. He even said it was a bit early for it right before they started
