No -- who do you think it is?
What are you implying?
That besides writing books she is a regular listener/caller to Swap Shop.
Great, then please post the Swap Shop calls that would confirm that theory.
Listen, if Sal and Richard are on here reading this. I am a huge fan of both you guys and I could be wrong which is why I did not title the thread directly to point out the voice similation. I simply wanted to see if anyone thought or had the same reaction that I had when hearing her voice. I hope this thread don't break us up. Sincerely, RP
There probably should be a definitive list of their fake phony phone call actors. The first one I learned about (from BethSucks) was the "Asian" woman who's in both the Smokey Martling and overtly fake "Clock Shop" calls.
The Richard Simmons "My name is Cheryl, and I believe I am your daughter" guy seems to be the same as the hillbilly in the George Takei "One of my neighbors in Denver is a lengthy black teenager" call.
That one MIGHT be excusable, since I think both of those were "just" prank calls to someone at home (as opposed to pretending to be a book author, shop owner, etc.).
Re-using a victim is one thing, giving lines to fake actors is another.
Granted, both of these ladies are obviously legit authors and I believe them to not be the same person but,,,,their voices are extremely similar and I just find it interesting.
Never heard that Dice Bunny one before -- one of the better calls!
But I don't think it's making your point...
Start post 10 and post 11videos off at 2:02,,,,
Ruffy, are you going to just repost every Jack & Rod call on the innertubes, or are you going to make a point? Sorry, no offense, but I can't listen to all of these now.
Wait, never mind; just saw your comparison post! Thanks...
I was listening to some old KROQ bits the other day and some of the listeners who called in sounded like some of the people in the Sal and Richard prank calls. I highly doubt those are the same people and think that on the phone people do sound like other people. The asian cock call and Smokey Martling are not necessarily the same person but the calls are similar because chinks all sound alike.
I couldn't make it through the first Jack and Rod bit - I believe that there could be some recycling of folks on these calls, but even if the calls were all legitimate, they are no longer fun or funny and Howard should stop playing them (although we all know he'll milk them to fill airtime for the rest of his Sirius days).
