    What is the correct response?

The neighbors dog bit my dogs nose through our fence. Tore my dogs nose up pretty good. Blood everywhere. My dog looks like Cujo.

The neighbors boy was walking their dog. The boy is about 10 years old and can't control the dog. He lost control and the dog came up to my fence and bit my dog through the fence.

The boys parents aren't home, only his older brother.

I think my dog is fine. Is sucks because we were supposed to go to a party tonight. Now my wife wants to stay home with the dog.

Talk to parents about not letting their kid walk dog past my yard? Beat up dad when he gets home? Sue parents, take house and make kid destroy his dog? Do I still go to the party without wife?

A vet? Take an injured dog to the vet there's a party to attend? Are you mad?

You should report it though. A lot of times you hear about tragedies that might have been avoided if previous incidents had been reported to authorities. Document everything. Take pics.

I already talked about this in another thread, but my friend's yorkie was mauled to death by a pit bull a month ago. They are just beginning the process of suing the pit owner for the $15k vet bill.

The criminal dog was on his property and bit your dog through a fence? Tell them nicely and express your concerns about aggressive behavior. If it happens again reward the dog with a dark chocolate bar.

My dog was in his yard behind our fence. Other dog got away from kid and was on other side of fence. Sidewalk runs parallel with fence line.

I don't think he needs a vet. Wife agrees. He isn't bleeding anymore. We rinsed him off and cleaned bite. He seems fine. Playing, wagging tail, running around yard.

Don't allow it. Ever. It's a recipe for disaster.
